3 Kick-ass Kickstarters

Let’s kick-off August with 3 of the most promising and kick-ass indie games projects currently live and looking for pledges on Kickstarter.

  1. King under the Mountain

This is not the first mention of this project here on Indieventure, but having recently re-launched their funding campaign, King under the Mountain appears to be well on its way to out of pre-alpha.

King Under the Mountain

Set in a rich fantasy world, Kind under the Mountain is a simulation-based strategy management game that sees the player build, manage settlements and adventure and across a procedurally generated world.

With player-driven content and modding, the game will be open for players to create a personalised realm building experience.

If the project sounds like it might be worth a punt, why not check out the prototype at itchio before you pledge your hard earned mula.

2. No Longer Home

No Longer Home is an episodic point and click adventure game, with a magical twist. Created by a two-person team at Humble Grove, No Longer Home tells the story of two university graduates, Bo and Ao as they face the unavoidable and somewhat soul destroying journey into adult life.

The first chapter is experienced over 29 acts and sees the protagonists Bo and Ao live their everyday lives, whilst you, the player, delve deep into the thoughts of the characters, creating your own insights through multiple choice dialogue and story branching.

No Longer Home is live on Kickstarter now, well on its way to reaching its pledge goal.

3. Orogenesis: A Neo-Funk RPG

The title says it all, Orogenesis is a neo-funk RPG with a devilishly dirty twist. Taking inspiration from classic RPG’s such as The Legend of Zelda, this nightmarish retro RPG sees you ‘a dude’, set out on an adventure to gather four genesis orbs to discover the secrets the mountain that has just spouted from the ground.

With a huge and grotesque world to explore, turn-based combat and cast of ‘quirky weirdos’, Orogenesis is a truly original addition to the genre.

If you like the sound of the project as much as we do, why not check it’s Kickstarter campaign, it’s well worth a punt at only $3 for the digital download.
